Rufus Du Sol Los Angeles Concert reviews
Amazing show, never again at this venue
I loved the concert! I wish they had maybe focused with the screens a bit better! We picked this show cause it was low key, and our son who’s 8 wanted to come! Lawn seats seemed to be, a better purchase for a family with teens and a kid! Figuring like shows in the past lawn would be safe and sane! It was NOT. This wasn’t a death metal show, or a show I’d have expected to have to stand guard around my kids, pushing and yelling at the tons of drunk people falling on them and having now respect for the seats we are made to purchase to sit in the lawn! Let alone our blankets! It was crazy, none of the fans had manners it seemed like a bunch of privileged kids drove over in busses from silicone valley.
Getting to our “seats” was incompetently managed
First of all, the show was phenomenal. Rufus was amazing. The venue, swung and missed. We paid extra to be in the area in front of the stage. After we stood in the line to enter the venue, where we showed our ticket as you do at every venue, we walked down to the entrance to the area in front of the stage. We showed the attendant our ticket, and she told us we had to get a bracelet before going to our designated area and sent us to another place to get the bracelet. The line for the bracelets was longer than than the main ticket line to enter the venue. We missed three songs standing in the bracelet line. If we needed a bracelet to get to our “seats,” they should have given us that bracelet when we entered the venue, or told us in advance that we were going to have to stand in two lines. It also made no sense whatsoever. Why didn’t they just look at our ticket at the entrance to the area where our “seats” were like every other venue does? The bracelet made no sense. I’ve been to countless shows large and small and have never encountered such a ridiculous procedure. Everyone in the bracelet line was rightfully outraged.

Overall this concert was amazing! The sound quality and lightning were really good! My seats were a lot closer than expected, basically right near the front row; However, I wish it was disclosed that there would be obstructions with my seat location. The seat was at the end of the row and the speakers were blocking my view, which was disappointing for what I paid for these seats. Secondly, the exit was a mess. The whole entire amphitheater was trying to leave through the same small exit. I felt this was a safety concern with everyone bunched together and hope the amphitheater reevaluates exit plans.
